Eight departments have issued new policies on AI and manufacturing.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and eight other departments jointly issued the "Implementation Opinions on the 'Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing' Special Action", aiming to promote the deep integration of AI and manufacturing, and clearly set out to create hundreds of typical application scenarios, injecting strong impetus into the intelligent transformation of the manufacturing industry. In this wave, as the core of production inspection and quality control in the manufacturing industry, the instrument and meter industry is encountering a policy-oriented golden opportunity.

Instrument and meters are the cornerstone of the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry. All links such as research and development, production, and quality control require their precise data support. The new policy promotes industrial quality inspection technologies such as machine vision and intelligent inspection, directly expanding the application scenarios of intelligent instrument and meters. Currently, the integration of AI and instrument and meters has achieved initial results, such as AI inspection robots accurately identifying instrument readings and semiconductor defect detectors identifying micrometer-level flaws.
