Mass flowmeters lead to new developments in the field of measurement technology

In the past month and a half, policies, technologies and markets in the measurement industry have all witnessed significant developments. The mass flow meter, as the core equipment for precise measurement, has continued to demonstrate its strategic value.

At the policy level, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued opinions on manufacturing measurement innovation, and the State Administration for Market Regulation updated 24 technical specifications for flow measurement, clearly defining accuracy standards and calibration requirements. It also included them in the core equipment categories for carbon accounting and carbon trading, laying a solid policy foundation for the industry's development.

In terms of technology, domestic mass flow meters have achieved key breakthroughs, with process accuracy exceeding 0.1% and some products reaching the international leading level of 0.03%. They can adapt to extreme working conditions ranging from -200°C to +400°C and measurement of very small flows. Intelligent new products integrating AI diagnosis and remote operation are accelerating their implementation.

In the market, the domesticization rate of flow meters in China has exceeded 55%. Mass flow meters have continuously increased their penetration rates in industries such as petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, new energy and environmental protection, becoming a key support for enterprises to reduce costs, increase efficiency, comply with regulations and achieve green transformation.

Currently, the industry is undergoing core trends of deepening domestic substitution, accelerating intelligent integration and upgrading of application value. This is injecting strong measurement impetus into the upgrading of manufacturing towards high-end, intelligence and greenness.
