Venturi flowmeter is also known as classic venturi tube, classical venturi tube, customary called venturi tube, standard Venturi tube. The latter throttle flow sensor is developed according to the Venturi effect, which is a standard throttle device. There is no need for real flow calibration in the range of 50-1200mm diameter, because of its high accuracy, small pressure loss, and not easy to wear, it is often used as a trade settlement flow meter for the accurate measurement of steam, natural gas and petrochemical media. Used to measure the flow of single-phase stable fluid in closed pipelines, often used to measure the flow of air, natural gas, gas, water and other fluids. In the standard throttling device, it requires the shortest upper and lower straight pipe section, the smallest permanent pressure loss, stable performance and easy maintenance. Because of its accurate calculation and low energy consumption, it has been widely used in petroleum, chemical, electric power and metallurgical industries.


 Venturi flowmeter main features

The permanent pressure loss is small, can be used for large flow, in a wide flow range, it has high accuracy than the orifice plate and nozzle, but the volume is large and heavier.

According to different processing and manufacturing methods, the standard venturi flowmeter is divided into rough casting shrinkage section, and the Venturi flowmeter has a machining shrinkage section, and the Venturi flowmeter has a rough welded iron plate shrinkage section.

In the standard throttling device, the classic Venturi pipe requires the shortest upper and lower straight pipe section, the smallest permanent pressure loss, stable performance and easy maintenance. Because of its accurate calculation and low energy consumption, it has been widely used in petroleum, chemical, electric power and metallurgical industries.

The shrink section of the classic venturi tube can be divided into three forms: rough cast shrink section, machined shrink section and rough welded iron plate shrink section.

Application: Used in various industries of various media flow measurement, control and regulation; It has the characteristics of low pressure loss and long life. The force loss is small (only 8-10% of the maximum differential pressure) over a wide flow range, with higher accuracy than orifice plates and other nozzles.  

Generally used for large flow, clean fluid measurement. Not suitable for high temperature, high pressure fluid flow measurement.
