Nozzle flowmeter is a differential pressure generation device for measuring flow, and it can measure the flow of various fluids in the pipeline with various differential pressure gauges or differential pressure transmitters. The standard nozzle throttling device is used with the differential pressure transmitter to measure the flow of liquid, steam and gas, which is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, electric power, light industry and other sectors.

The measuring principle of the nozzle flowmeter is based on the throttling principle of fluid mechanics. When the fluid filled with pipes flows through the nozzle in the pipeline, the flow rate will form a local contraction in the nozzle, thus speeding up the flow rate and reducing the static pressure, so that the pressure drop or pressure difference is generated before and after the nozzle. The greater the flow rate of the medium flow, the greater the pressure difference generated before and after the nozzle. Therefore, the fluid flow rate can be measured by measuring the pressure difference.


 Main characteristics of nozzle flowmeter

Compared with the orifice flowmeter, the pressure loss of the nozzle flowmeter is small, so it saves energy, is more durable, suitable for high temperature and high pressure fluids, and is widely used in the steam flow measurement of electric power, chemical industry and other industries.

Nozzle flowmeter includes standard nozzle (ISA1932 nozzle) and long-neck nozzle. Its design and manufacturing are in line with the international standard ISO5167 or the national standard GB/T2624.

Erosion resistance is better than orifice plate, its permanent pressure loss is lower than orifice plate, but higher than venturi tube.
